So, We Live in Stavanger: Preikestolen Hike

So, We Live in Stavanger” is an ongoing series of posts dedicated to sharing photo intensive glimpses into what it looks like while I stumble my way through living my intermittently artistic life in Stavanger, Norway.

One of my most rewarding hiking experiences to date, aside from a nearly completely lost 5 hr treck with the old man through the mountainous woods of Kentucky after a storm knocked out the trail markings, has been the trip up to Prekestolen or "Pulpit Rock" just outside of Stavanger.

The drive to the base starts with a fairly quick ferry ride followed by a nice windy drive up into the mountain. Once parked, the hike can take between 4-6 hours to make it there and back.

Here are a few photos from along the way.
